19 Dec 2024Advancing Our Digital Journey At Northumberland Heath Primary we believe in offering our pupils a new lens to explore and understand the world through digital innovation. Our digital journey continues to gain momentum as we work toward achieving Apple Distinguished School status, a recognition of excellence in technology-enhanced education. Recently, we took an exciting step forward with our first visit by Sy nc, where we successfully demonstrated our progress and were nominated for the next phase of accreditation! We are excited to continue this digital journey in inspiring learning and improving outcomes for the pupils here at Northumberland Heath.

Nurturing Wellbeing: Pastoral Support at our School
01 Jul 2024Our dedicated wellbeing coaches have been working diligently to provide extra support to some of our children at Northumberland Heath. We have a hub open at lunchtimes which is a space for children who find the playgrounds overwhelming, allowing them to spend their time in a more relaxed environment and enjoy their time. The hub offers access to a variety of creative activities and an outdoor area where children can run around. This setup has fostered a sense of collaboration among the children, who have honed skills such as turn-taking, participating in group games, and knitting and crocheting.

We proudly adopt The Halo Code, promoting inclusivity
21 Nov 2023At our school, we uphold core values of respect and individuality, and we are proud to have adopted The Halo Code, the UK’s first black hair code. Halo works with schools, academy chains, and educational bodies to support them to adopt the Halo Code, the UK’s first Black Hair Code. The Halo Code explicitly protects students and staff who come to school with natural hair and protective hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities. Our commitment to The Halo Code is a commitment to respect, inclusion, and celebration of diversity.
